For pre-packed items and locally produced products, barcodes can be created in the Label Printer screen which is found in:

4. Label Printer
Field 1:Label Code - enter the first few letters of the item's description which will become the Label Code
Field 2: Description - enter the full name and description
Fields 3 and 4 - Skip
Field 5: <Label Details> - enter everything that is required on the label ↲
Field 6: Print Control - ↲
Field 7: Labels to Print - enter number of labels required to print
Field 8: Barcode - Enter any selection of numbers to create a unique barcode
File the screen
Enter Y.
To enable script scanning of the item go to the Trade screen [TRADE:
Open the Trade item
At the Option line type `8a' to add an item to Field 8
Enter the GTIN, the following message will appear:
Enter Y
Field 9: Pack Size - Enter the pack size
Field 10: Presentation - Enter the pack description
